About LNP Academy
Hands-on medical education. International faculty. A personal approach.
LNP Academy is a Budapest-based international medical education, research and healthcare innovation centre. We run hands-on surgical courses, clinical seminars and online programmes with internationally recognised faculty, and work with universities, hospitals and medical technology companies across Europe and beyond.
Our story
Knowledge is learned. Confidence is practised.
LNP stands for Learn & Practise, and that is how we build every programme. Participants do the procedures themselves, in small groups, under the guidance of experienced faculty from across Europe and beyond. From orthognathic and laparoscopic surgery to ENT, spine and interdisciplinary seminars, our courses are designed around the skills that matter in daily clinical work.
As an independent organisation we can move fast and stay personal: you deal directly with the people who run LNP Academy, whether you are a resident looking for your first hands-on course, a professor bringing a new programme to life, or a company introducing a new technology to clinicians.
Our roots are in healthcare itself. The team behind LNP Academy has spent more than twenty years building diagnostic services, and brings years of experience leading international programmes across Europe, the United States, the Gulf region and Asia. That combination is what lets us deliver at an international standard, with the attention of a small team.

Luca Takács
Founder & CEO
Luca leads LNP Academy’s strategy, partnerships and international development. Before founding LNP Academy she led transatlantic operations for an international organisation in Europe and the United States, and since 2018 she has managed multi-country projects across Europe, the US, the Gulf region and Asia.

István Takács
Director of Operations
An engineer, entrepreneur and investor, István has spent more than two decades building healthcare businesses, including one of Hungary’s leading private histopathology and immunohistochemistry laboratories. He oversees LNP Academy’s operations and digital pathology services.
Dr. Dávid Bessenyei
Chief Medical Officer
A neurologist and medtech innovator, co-creator of the SzívCity life-saving app and developer of several telemedicine services. He leads LNP Academy’s medical direction alongside his clinical work in stroke and emergency care. Full bio in Faculty
Faisal Albutti
GCC Regional Partner · Kuwait
Based in Kuwait, Faisal represents LNP Academy in the Gulf region, bringing more than 20 years in healthcare systems, health IT and university teaching. He holds an MSc in Health Information Technology from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Dr. Bodnar founded Ireland’s first Metabolic Surgery Department in 2017, recognised with the Saolta Healthcare Group Staff Recognition Award. He performs the full spectrum of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric procedures and is a recognised key opinion leader in abdominal compartment syndrome.
After specialist surgical training in Hungary he trained in bariatric and metabolic surgery in Spain, where he served as Coordinator of Bariatric Surgical Services, before moving to Ireland.

He graduated from Semmelweis University in 2014 and became a board-certified neurologist in 2019. His work is built on a fast, multidisciplinary approach developed in emergency and stroke care.
During the first three COVID-19 waves he was a core member of a dedicated COVID outpatient clinic, managing diagnosis, patient pathways and long-term follow-up.

Your infrastructure. Our expertise. One system.
Access to pathologists with the right subspecialty expertise remains one of the key challenges of modern diagnostics. With digital pathology, a high-resolution whole-slide image replaces the glass slide, so experienced specialists can support institutions across borders.
We work with hospitals, laboratories and healthcare providers that want to build their own digital pathology capacity, starting with a controlled pilot and growing into a long-term partnership, with data handling designed around local regulations from day one.
