International Cadaver Course in Orthognathic Surgery – Budapest 2025
Hosted at the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology of Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, LNP Academy successfully organized an international cadaver-based training course in orthognathic surgery, bringing together surgeons, residents, industry partners and internationally recognized faculty for an intensive hands-on educational experience.
Developed in collaboration with Semmelweis University and InterCleft Foundation, the course focused on contemporary orthognathic surgical techniques using TITAMED Smart Fixation Systems and provided participants with the opportunity to perform procedures in realistic anatomical conditions using non-frozen cadaver specimens.
The program combined expert-led lectures, live demonstrations and supervised hands-on training, enabling participants to refine their surgical skills while working directly with human anatomy in a highly realistic educational setting.
Course Highlights
- 20 participants
- 11 countries represented
- 5 surgical workstations
- International faculty
- Hosted at Semmelweis University, Budapest
- Organized by TITAMED, InterCleft Foundation and LNP Academy
- Hands-on cadaver-based surgical training
During the course, participants worked in small groups across five surgical workstations together with internationally experienced faculty members, ensuring intensive hands-on practice and personalized surgical guidance throughout the training.
The program covered a wide range of orthognathic and cranio-maxillofacial surgical techniques, including:
• Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy (BSSO)
• Vertical Ramus Osteotomy
• Genioplasty and Chin-Wing Procedures
• Malar Sandwich Osteotomy
The use of non-frozen cadaver specimens provided an exceptionally realistic learning environment, allowing participants to practice advanced surgical techniques under conditions closely resembling real clinical procedures. Throughout the course, attendees also gained hands-on experience with TITAMED’s Smart Fixation System, including OS plates and screws developed for modern cranio-maxillofacial surgery.
