Two days of intensive orthognathic surgery training
The 3rd International Orthognathic Cadaver Course is a two-day, hands-on programme in contemporary orthognathic surgery. Expert-led lectures and live surgical demonstrations are followed by extensive cadaver practice under realistic surgical conditions, adding up to more than 16 hours of focused surgical education.
You will work through the key stages of the orthognathic workflow, from CBCT-based 3D planning and osteotomy principles to fixation strategies. Practical sessions cover maxillary and mandibular osteotomies, genioplasty and malar osteotomy.
A dedicated focus of the 2026 edition is the TITAMED Smart Fixation System: you will work directly with its plates, screws and instrumentation during the osteotomy sessions. Special preservation techniques give the specimens realistic colour, tissue consistency and surgical handling, comparable to live surgery.

Day 1 · 4 December
Maxillary and mandibular osteotomies
Lectures and live surgical demonstrations, followed by supervised practical training at the operating table.

The second day moves to the midface and chin, again combining demonstration with hands-on practice.

A maxillofacial surgeon with extensive expertise in orthognathic, cleft and craniofacial surgery, as well as 3D simulation, virtual treatment planning and CBCT technology. He is also a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon in Belgium and a Fellow of the European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery.
His clinical and academic experience spans leading centres in Bruges, Vienna, Zurich and Taipei, with advanced training in orthognathic and cranio-maxillofacial surgery. He has published more than 75 scientific papers on orthognathic surgery, craniofacial reconstruction, 3D planning and CBCT-based technologies.
